Opportunities for cost reduction in times of inflation exist in devising alternative solutions, engaging with suppliers, the use of technology and streamlining of services. We can find savings in labour, supplier contracts and in energy supplies, including fuels, gas and electricity usage.

The Australian government’s Schools Upgrade Fund set aside more than $270m to support improvements to ventilation and air quality, as well as larger refurbishments to public schools.
Studies show that indoor air quality (IAQ) has a broad impact on students’ health and wellbeing, influencing factors such as cognition, productivity and fatigue, as well as avoiding allergies.

Supply chains are  one of the fundamental pillars that underpin globalisation, capitalism and consumeris
m. Yet those issues are often cited as primary causes of the current climate emergency we face today.
Supply chain commerce represents more than the direct fulfilment of supply and demand; it creates new opportunities for brands to deliver greener & more-sustainable products to consumers.

If we are to safeguard people who have to gather in hospitals, schools, and public buildings then we need to make the air as safe as possible and we need to make sure that we do this in a cost-effective manner. We need decision makers to be aware of the best options to make buildings infection resilient. This will both make our buildings safer and allow us to reap the wider benefits of improved indoor air quality.
